Programs & Initiatives
In addition to funding critical research needed to find a cure for cystic fibrosis, Fight CF is dedicated to assisting local cystic fibrosis patients with their present needs. Living with cystic fibrosis presents daily challenges for both the patient and caretakers. Physical and emotional challenges are the norm. Unfortunately, the financial strain associated with cystic fibrosis is also the norm for most CF patients and their caretakers.
Hardship Grant
Fight CF’s Hardship Grants provide financial assistance to CF patients and their caretakers experiencing long term or short term financial hardship. Hardship grants are limited to one $500 grant per 12 month period for each cystic fibrosis patient based on application approval and available funding. At this time, Hardship Grants are only available to cystic fibrosis patients who receive care at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA or Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, VA.
Stay Fit Grant
Fight CF is excited to announce that we will be offering a Stay Fit Grant beginning January 1, 2026 to help local CF patients meet their New Year’s Resolution to stay fit in 2026.
Transplant Grant
Fight CF’s Transplant Grants provide financial assistance to CF patients and their care team for the costs associated with their transplant journey. Transplant grants are limited to one grant per cystic fibrosis patient, per transplant. Grants are based on application approval and available funding. At this time, transplant grants are only available to cystic fibrosis patients who receive care at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA or Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, VA.
